The 2024 Holiday Market will be on Friday, December 6 and Saturday, December 7.
The Holiday Market will be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention center (DLCC) in Halls B & C.

The convention center is at the corner of Penn Ave. and 10th Street, in downtown Pittsburgh.

Handmade Arcade is in Halls B & C of the DLCC on the second floor. To get to the Holiday Market:
Enter through the EAST LOBBY Street entrance off Tenth Street.
Go up the escalator or use the elevator to your right behind the security desk
Once you are on the second floor, Halls B and C will be on your left.

Yes. The David L. Lawrence Convention Center has a 700-car parking garage attached to the building. Numerous accessible parking options are on the first level of the garage, with close access to the ballroom entrance and East Lobby entrance. (Information from the DLCC website)

Yes. The David L. Lawrence Convention Center has curb cut-outs at the East Lobby and West Lobby entrances on 10th Street. These cut-outs provide easy access to the main lobby areas. Yes. Service animals that are specifically trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability are welcome in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Yes. The David L. Lawrence Convention Center has complimentary non-motorized wheelchairs available for guests to use while on site. Wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are located at the East Lobby security desk, West Lobby security desk, and the Spirit of Pittsburgh Ballroom, Presented by Dollar Bank, security desk. The David L. Lawrence Convention Center is a KultureCity® Certified Sensory Inclusive Building. Sensory bags containing noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools, feeling thermometer, sunglasses and verbal cue cards are available from the DLCC. A Quiet room is available on Level 2, Concourse A, and Headphone Zones are clearly marked. Guests can download the free KultureCity® app to view the available sensory tools and the social story detailing the items featured at the DLCC. Yes. The Holiday Market will have sensory-friendly shopping from 4:30 - 6 PM on Saturday, December 7. Here's what you can expect:
We will reduce the number of available ticket reservations in this time window by more than 50%.
The DJ will stop playing music during this time window.
Light engagement will be encouraged between makers and shoppers (think approaching a table to browse without the expectation of engaging in conversation, not receiving additional information about products or special sales from makers unless you ask, etc.)

Breastfeeding is welcome anywhere, anytime, any place at Handmade Arcade's markets. If you prefer a dedicated private space, there is one located near the glass elevator on the second floor of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. You can call the number posted on the door so a DLCC staff member can unlock it for you as it is locked for privacy reasons.

There are changing tables located in all Family Restrooms at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

Yes. Gender-neutral bathrooms are located at the back of the halls near the Concession Center and are marked with signage. Please also feel free to use a Family Restroom (single room with a door that locks) for additional privacy.

Water bottles are welcome. There is a water fountain on-site at the back of the hall.

Handmade Arcade will have a welcome table at the entrance of the Holiday Market where you can ask your questions. You can also ask our check-in volunteers for help. Throughout the event, look for Handmade Arcade volunteers wearing lanyards and black aprons with the Handmade Arcade logo.

We suggest following the flow of people and starting at Table 1 in the front right corner of the hall. Printed maps will be available on-site from volunteers or at the welcome or check-in table, and you can also scan a QR code on-site for a digital program book.

Handmade Arcade will follow the current COVID-19 advice from the CDC for indoor gatherings. Masks are suggested but not required. If you are feeling sick, please stay home and explore the 2024 Holiday Market's Virtual Catalog to shop from maker ecommerce sites instead.

To control crowds, we require all attendees to sign up for free-timed admission. Your time slot designates when you will be allowed to check in and enter the market.
There are no time limitations on shopping. After you check in, you're free to shop for as long as you want - or at least until we close at 6 PM!

No. There is no need to print your ticket. You can have it ready on your mobile device when you enter the Convention Center.

You will still be allowed to enter the market. The time indicates the earliest you can enter the market. We understand that you cannot always control traffic, parking, etc. and that late arrivals might happen.

We accept free timed ticket registrations until 5 PM on Saturday, December 7.

Children are welcome - we love having families at Handmade Arcade! Registrations are not required for children under the age of 10 years old. This includes the Friday Night Happy Hour and Early Bird Shopping.

Don't wait to buy! Early shopping tickets will sell quickly. Friday Night Preview Party tickets for December 6 will be sold at the door, but we recommend that you purchase those tickets in advance to maximize your shopping time. Early Birdie Shopping tickets for December 7 will NOT be sold at the door and must be pre-purchased.

No. If you are not able to attend the free shopping hours at the Holiday Market, there is no need to cancel or transfer your ticket.

Refunds are available to guests who cancel by Monday, December 2 at 11:59 PM. Ticket cancellations after that time cannot be refunded. However, you may transfer your ticket to another attendee to use. Please note that refunds are processed manually, so please be patient as our response to you might be delayed.
